Are you interested in Yoga and want to know more of its history, philosophy, schools, techniques and forms in Hinduism, Buddhism and Tantrism? Then you are very welcome to participate in the course ‘Yoga Philosophy’ from Sumati Nair in Amsterdam Yoga Centre.
During six Tuesday evenings from 18h45 till 20h45 you will be taken on a journey back in time from today’s modern Yoga to the inner sources of the Vedic period.
Sumati Nair comes from South India and holds two postgraduate degrees in Indian philosophy. She is in India often to expand her understanding of philosophy and practice and enjoys sharing her knowledge with interested practitioners. She has taught for more then 10 years in the Yoga Teacher Training at Amsterdam Yoga Centre and is a Yoga Teacher and a practitioner herself in the Iyengar tradition. She gives philosophy classes in different Yoga Schools in Netherlands. This course is part of the Yoga Teacher Training and is open to any interested yogi. Also yoga teachers who want to bring their knowledge up to date are being invited. Classes are taught in English, some of the reading is in English.
